Introduction

Above is South/Southwest, Pine Valley Ella's House is aligned with the Look Out Mountain Peak & the Tom George Grainery {From "Flower Hill" 06-14-06}

My daughter once answered exclusively to "Belles"; this was referenced directly to Ella Belle Tarter, her great aunt, her paternal grand mother's sister who passed away early September 11, 2006 during her sleep. She was minimally ambulatory. She was also lucid, coherent, & bright, but in a limited amount of pain up to the very end. She was born in (approximately) fall of 1910 to Berta Huff and Gladys Oliver Huff, the 2nd daughter, 3rd child of five.

Ella Belle saw various technologies wheel their way across Pine Valley, Oregon. This included several wars. In school, Ella was held back and Dolores was advanced, which created a twin-like rather than competitive relationship. Ella married Walt Tarter some time in her early twenties: there was no issue (children) to the marriage, although Ella and Walt cared for various children . Ella & Walt did not travel or operate far from Pine Valley, Oregon. {SEE PHOTO ABOVE} In general, the sisters maintained a protective, balanced, free, environment for their offspring, including relationships with extended family. These were the days of no trespassing enforcements, and open fishing in the Creeks, with children wandering for hours through the valley. Ella Belle welcomed and desired company up through the end of her days. I regret my daughter has not seen her these past years, but I am thank ful that I benefited from Ella's company was able to be here in 2006"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind...and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."
